Shaunee, Jed, the cutest sausage dog in the world, Loki, and I all first met on a cold day in South Queensferry back in February of this year. It was at this moment that I knew their wedding, set months later, was going to be an experience that I would look back on with so much love and joy.
Flashforward to Comrie Croft, in June of 2025, on a typical temperamental Scottish summer's day, I pulled up to the venue to find the place already a buzz. Pulling together the last details of bouquets, table settings, and hair/make-up in full swing. What struck me was the community that Jed and Shaunee had around them - prepared to do anything for them to it perfect. Choosing those people, where you can, it's essential to choose the people who will make you feel the best, who will uplift you and keep the day positive and full of light. And that's exactly what this pair had done.
The great gusts brought us rain and shine, we worked alongside the spells and embraced what the Perthshire Gods brought us. Having already done our engagement shoot at the start of the year, when it came to the couple's shoot, the pair were relaxed, and we were able to find the same perfect rhythm as we did then.
In every frame, I create a look that is cinematic yet natural. Moments that are never heavily staged but maintain the quality of the photos you'll be pulling out of the photobook for decades to come. I emphasised the documentary style by blending into the background and letting the story play out for itself.
Jed and Shaunee are everything I look for in a couple: authentic, caring, and kind. Certainly, their life will be filled with constant love and celebration.
